● Employees of institutions and companies located in Hanoi can move around the city only for work, provision of essentials, processing of other important tasks, etc. The representative of the institution or company will issue a pass permit after the employee strictly adheres to the infection control measures and takes responsibility in the event of infection.
● Workers of factories / production facilities in Hanoi, providers of essentials, and those who perform system maintenance of factories / production facilities can move around the city. Employers are responsible for managing workers, comply with infection control measures, and issue a pass permit.
● If a worker or employee living in Hanoi works in another provincial city, he / she must have an employee certificate of the company to which he / she belongs and a pass certificate issued by the Vietnamese authorities in the area where he / she lives.
● When traveling from another province or city to Noi Bai Airport (including pick-up and drop-off), it is necessary to have an ID card, passport, air ticket, and PCR negative certificate within 72 hours.

NOTICE ABOUT “AUTOMATIC STAY EXTENSION”
1. Foreigners who entered Vietnam on visa waivers, e-visas or tourist visas from March 1st, 2020 are entitled to automatic stay extension until June 30th, 2021 and can depart from Vietnam without having to apply for stay extension. For those who entered Vietnam before March 1st, 2020, the same automatic stay extension until June 30th, 2021 can be considered, subject to provision of proof that the person was stranded in Vietnam due to Covid-19, accompanied by a diplomatic Note (with Vietnamese translation) from relevant diplomatic missions, or a written document from relevant Vietnamese authorities confirming that the person was required to undergo mandatory quarantine or treatment for Covid-19, or advice of other force majeure. The person is required to present the diplomatic Note or written document on departure from Vietnam.
2. During “automatic stay extension” period, foreigners are required to complete temporary residence and health status declaration.
3. Foreigners who are not subject to Paragraph 1 or violate Vietnamese laws will be treated according to applicable laws of Vietnam.

Amid complicated developments of the pandemic in the world, Vietnam has decided to temporarily suspend and restrict the entry of foreigners and overseas Vietnamese in order to focus on implementing pandemic prevention and control measures in the country, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said.
Hang made the statement at a regular press conference of the Foreign Ministry held virtually on May 13, in response to questions about whether Vietnam intends to change its entry policy in the time ahead.
She noted that earlier Vietnam had also suspended entry of foreigners and only allowed entry of investors, technical experts, highly-skilled workers and business managers on the condition of meeting quarantine and medical requirements.
She affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in India is continuing to work with relevant agencies and doctors in Viet Nam to maintain contact with the citizens and is ready to help them when necessary.
